Our Philosophy
Caralarga is a textile design and production workshop inspired by nature’s raw materials; we seek to preserve their essence and accentuate their qualities by transforming them into high quality artisanal pieces. Through our designs, we want to convey the value of our hands and highlight the natural beauty of each material. We like things as they are and we believe that a simple world is better; this is the source of our inspiration.
Our Story
Our main resources are raw cotton threads and textile waste discarded for tiny production errors. In 2014, we found in these materials the possibility to rethink and explore waste as a medium to create unique, timeless and sustainable jewellery and apparel pieces. Our creative evolution has also lead us to the discovery of other natural materials, such as the fiber extracted from the sansevieria plant and recycled bull horn, working hand in hand with the artisans who have preserved the knowledge regarding ancient techniques and the protection of nature.
