In the world of mass garment production, fast fashion, and not much uniqueness anymore in what we wear collectively, we wanted to create garments that are unique in all aspects in how it was made - small production, the absolute best fabric ethically sourced, slow fashion and something that will last you virtually a lifetime..... PTC label was born. We design every piece in-house and made in Maine. Hope you like what we have done.
We take great pride in working with local talents across Maine, the entire New England region and beyond. This garment is no exception.
Kerry Eielson Fanning has indeed mastered the artistry Crochet. A recent Mainer she has been making Sweaters for the past 15 years. These sweaters have a unique texture because they are done in crochet, a fiber art that uses one hook and yarn to tie knots, one after the other, row after row, into sweaters or blankets or more. (Traditionally, when people think of crochet, they think of doilies and granny squares, but it can also have the filled-in appearance of knitting, but more textured.) It is also unique because the stitches are made with more than one strand; one is wool, the other is a cotton thread. Kerry uses mostly natural fibers. These yarns are from Turkey, brought here in suitcases from France.
