The Heinrich vom Hofe metal goods factory, which was founded in 1912, has been producing cases in a wide variety of designs for decades. The original product range actually included rod and umbrella fittings, furniture knobs and other metal parts. With a wealth of ideas, the company has always innovatively adapted its range to the spirit of the times - also through the development and production of decorative metal cases.
The manufacture of cigarette and cigar cases was a modern industry of the 1960s: smoking was chic and allowed everywhere, cigarettes were sold loose - so they had to be stored somewhere. In this era of the economic miracle generation, the trend emerged to carry cigarettes in a stylish box.
