From Japanese art to Western art, science, folklore, film, manga, literature ... Japan is said to have over 5,000 registered museums, or art galleries, and archives. Through their exhibits and collections, we can consider works, artists, and the background to their creations, get a bird's-eye view of things from their origins to the present, and ponder the stories left behind by history. The more you visit a museum, the more you can come into contact with things you didn't know and make new discoveries. In this issue of BRUTUS , we introduce topics that will make you want to visit a museum in 2025, as well as collections from 155 museums both in Japan and abroad, opening the door to new perspectives.
